Retake Policy

Retaking the Examination

Flexible Retake Options

If a candidate fails, retakes only need to be taken for the failed module(s) after payment of the retake fee. There is no limit to retake attempts.

Updated Curriculum Notice

Retake examinations follow the latest PPA Body of Knowledge and certification scheme. Candidates are required to carefully check the latest changes on the BOK to make better preparation.

No Mandatory Re-training

Candidates are not required to re-take training solely due to examination failure.

Scheduling Flexibility

Flexible Postponement Policy

Candidates may request exam postponement at least 7 days before the scheduled date. Postponement can be up to one year from the original exam date.

Appeals of Examination Results

Transparent Appeals Process

Candidates may appeal if they believe the result is inaccurate, incorrect, biased, or unfair.

Regrading is performed by a different examiner from the original

Submitting an appeal does not guarantee a pass and does not affect decisions related to ethical issues. IFMI announces appeal outcomes within two months. There is a fee applied for appeal request.
